Tokenization Guidance Webinar Series
Prime Factors sponsored a series of three webinars that provided guidance the PCI Council failed to provide when it published an "Information Supplement" on tokenization in August 2011. The webinars feature Adrian Lane, senior analyst for data security analyst firm Securosis, who authored an informative white paper titled, "Tokenization Guidance: How to reduce PCI compliance costs." The 28-page white paper is available as a free download on the Prime Factors website.
The webinar series zeros in on important topics covered in the white paper such what to do about the lack of guidance from the PCI council, how to cut PCI audit costs, and how to select the right tokenization solution for your situation.
The first webinar (January 17th) analyzes the PCI's Information Supplement, and tells you what they got right and wrong, what they failed to do, and what companies can do about it. Lane's recommendations are based on dozens of interviews, hundreds of hours of research and a deep dive into deployment, auditing and scope reduction concerns people have regarding tokens. Recommendations made in the white paper and discussed in detail in the webinars have been vetted with Qualified Security Assessors (QSAs) to ensure the advice holds up to PCI requirements with minimal friction during the assessment process.
The second webinar (February 22nd) offers insight on how tokenization can reduce PCI scope and audit costs by up to 50 percent. Lane explains how tokenization reduces complexity and removes systems from scope. The final Webinar (March 20th) helps you select a tokenization solution and then design it for PCI compliance.
