Prime Factors, Inc. joins Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council as newest Participating Organization

Prime Factors to participate in key PCI standards-setting body to protect consumer payment card data

Eugene, OR, USA (Businesswire) January 10, 2008 – Prime Factors, Inc., a security software company with 26 years of service to the financial industry, announced today that it has joined the PCI Security Standards Council as a new participating organization, and will work with the Council to evolve the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) and other consumer payment card data protection issues. By joining as a Participating Organization, Prime Factors is adding its voice to the process. The PCI DSS, endorsed by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa Inc., requires merchants and service providers that store, process or transmit customer payment card data to adhere to information security controls and processes that ensure data integrity.
