Rapid Application Development

EncryptRIGHT®'s design simplifies programming, and facilitates a rapid application development environment. Unlike many encryption products, EncryptRIGHT separates programming and implementing cryptography and tokenization. Most cryptographic APIs provide a large number of functions, requiring that the programmer decide which encryption or tokenization method and options to use to secure data.

EncryptRIGHT uses a different approach, and as a result, the API is simple, easy to use and requires little or no knowledge of cryptography. With EncryptRIGHT, all cryptographic decisions are made in a data profile record (DPR). You don't need to be an encryption or tokenization expert to define the cryptographic options, keys and data conversions needed. These tasks can be performed by your security administrator, leaving your programmer free to focus on programming rather than figuring out cryptography.

If you are using EncryptRIGHT tokenization it is simply implemented as another cryptographic option by the security administrator in the DPR definition. Changing a DPR to use tokenization is as easy as changing from one encryption algorithm to another and requires no changes to the Application Programming Interface (API) calls.

A library of subroutines saves programming time and speeds up your project. EncryptRIGHT comes with an easy-to-use API. Sample calls from many high-level programming languages are provided. You can call subroutines from programs written in the following languages: C, C#, C++, Java, COBOL, Visual Basic, RPG and other high-level languages. You can translate data to and from ASCII and EBCDIC, and HEX and binary.

EncryptRIGHT is cross platform compatible, giving you the flexibility to deploy on a wide range of large computers and PCs.

EncryptRIGHT is well-suited for companies with mainframe business applications and a need to interact with PCs or AS/400s.

It is available for the following operating systems: zOS, IBMi (AS/400), HP-UX, Sun Solaris, AIX, Linux and Windows.
